Our Mission
We at Poetry Pals believe that the knowledge of reality brings wisdom and to promote unrealistic ideals brings chaos.  With this understanding, we have developed a safe, reality-based environment in which teachers and parents can share basic principles of learning with children.  We want to encourage teacher/student or parent/child interaction and early reading skills while developing a sincere appreciation for nature.  There is much wisdom to be learned from nature.

Author Background
Steve Parks, Author and creator of Poetry Pals, wrote each of the poem stories for his children when they were young at their request from their real life experiences.  As his children got older, they made him promise to put the stories in books so that they could read them when they had children of their own.  Many years later, in 1996, Steve's son and daughter-in-law informed him that he would soon become a grandfather, "So get busy on the books!"  Fulfilling his promise to his children, Steve not only produced the books but also created the Poetry Pals learning system so that all children could share in this wonderful learning opportunity. Each of the books have been lovingly dedicated to his grandson Michael.
